Giving a wedding gift that is personal can sometimes be tricky. While a gadget for a new home or the gift of money is truly handy, I always enjoy giving a gift that is special and unique to its receiver. With my recent trip to Peru's main purpose being attending my close cousin's wedding, I wanted to make sure I arrived with a gift that reminds the new couple of how much I love them. They just moved into an empty home, so I got my craft on. Taking inspiration during an outing with a good friend of mine, I purchased two vintage plastic letters (dating 1967). |Note: vintage letterpress blocks in the letter 'M' (for Melanie and Martin) are not as easy to find as you may think.| Taking a basic frame and finding paper in the exact colour as a sweater my cousin once bought with me, this is the final product. Voilà: Congratulations Melanie and Martin!
