DIY Heart Garland

Last week in Toronto we had a snow storm blow through the city, so Cambie decided to stay home and have a craft day. We spent the afternoon cutting out hearts and stringing them along to make a charming heart garland for The Junction Flea. Last Sunday was the Valentine's Flea and we wanted to present ourselves accordingly without being too 'themed'. We shied away from using bright pinks and reds, and stuck to the neutral tones of ivory, silver, gold and sage with the occasional fuchsia for a pop of colour. We used all purpose craft glue and adhered the string vertically down the center of each heart. We strung our heart garland from either side of our display table and sprinkled our remaining heart cut outs along the top of the table and our display. Quite pleased with our end result - a Valentine's Day display to compliment our Cambie blankets. Wishing you all a sweet (and crafty) Valentine's Day!
