Last week, The Stop Community Food Centre held their annual Night Market fundraising event in Toronto in the back alley of Honest Ed's. On June 18th and 19th, over 60 chefs from across the city were serving tasty bites in food carts designed by local designers, raising over $115,000 in support of The Stop's anti-hunger programs in the GTA. We had the pleasure of teaming up with some friends and collaborated in designing one of the food carts used by SupiCuCu and The Beet, respectively. We decided to create a traditional cart with a linen canopy, walnut butcher block counter and white shutters. We wanted to keep the cart minimal and clean with a small punch of colour, one you might encounter while travelling tropical countries. We truly enjoyed participating in such a fun event and were spoiled with delicious food and an inspiring environment.
